Lali (meaning “little darling” in Hindi) embodies the magic of childhood – from receiving your very first doll to learning how to ride a bike to laughing and playing with friends. Lali represents the universal happy moments experienced by generations of little darlings.

The Lali concept was born from nostalgia. Founded in 2013 by Kinnari McDevitt, Lali was inspired by a childhood shared between India and the United States. Early memories of bright, colorful silk saris and warm, aromatic fabric shops were some of the influences for this collection of modern yet timeless childrenswear. The versatile garments also have a fresh American feel with sherbet colors and lightweight fabrics. Kinnari combines contemporary silhouettes with classically refined aesthetics to create comfortable clothing that children will want to wear every day.

Lali Studio is a women-led collective; we nourish our textiles and each other, and aspire to make pieces that benefit everyone who touches our creations along the way.
